Great write up. I thought I was reading an article from Car & Driver for a moment.

Just installed my MGW shifter, 3rd gear is unbelievable. It isn't notchy like the Hurst, I currently have the Hurst pistol grip on the MGW stalk, I also have the Hurst T-handle which works on the same stalk. This shifter is amazing in its adjustability, height, throw, and side to side. Instructions were right on and shifter material and fit is excellent. I can't imagine ever missing third again, all the gears were just bang, bang, bang. I have to hand it to George and his team at MGW, best shifter on the market hands down!

Congrats Mike! The shifter definately is a complete unit. Dust boot, dynamat, sound blanket... I'm jealous. Though at the same time I'm thoroughly satisfied with my Tri-ax so.

Glad you finally got it and got it in.

Man... I love my auto... but its stuff like this that makes me want a manual. Autos simply dont have the customizableness (<- Thats a word I swear. ), at least until our auto shifter comes out... Great write up Mike! That thing sure is pretty!

JerseyStang....i'm with you.......I was all set to get the Hurst Shifter and now this (although I did have the MGW in the back of my mind if and when it came out). I wonder if anyone has driven both set-ups and made a comparison. I drove a demo at the dealership with the Hurst and really like it, much shorter throw, comfortable position, looked really sharp.....but it was a little bit notchy.

I spoke with George earliar today and man his customer service is awesome. I told him that the side to side stiffness of the shifter is a little bit to stiff for my wife to drive and he is sending me a less aggressive springs for the shifter. We love the design of the shifter but the stiffness is a little radical fo the everydaydriving especially in heavy traffic, he said he'll might offer differnt spring ratings for the shifter due to the factmost people like the shifter to bestiff for racing purposes or not as stiff for everyday driving and occassional trips to the track. The fact that he is making it work for us to our satisfaction is simply 100% awesome customer service!
