its just the money.. i know i can get a decent axle back for around 300.. but i dont have the money right now, and im tryin to save money and not spend it.. (goin to college).. so im tryin to find a alternative for a better sounding exhaust for cheaper..

i might just do it and see what it sounds like..

is it ok to leave the pipes open like that.. no muffler or extension with hangers and tips on em?.. will the move aroudn too much?...

i can imagine iwoudl sound kina like cut outs.. but i dunno..

i will look into these blue rs things.. deffinately like the price.. any pics installed.. or videos or anything..
you can try to find a cheap set of used SLP loudmouths on ebay or something. I know a few people are selling theirs on here.

Ill try to see if I can find a sound clip of the MB RS axle backs...

I removed my mufflers about a year ago. I had a local muffler shop fab up some bolt in pipes with 3.5" x 16" long stainless slash cut tips. It is really loud but not in a bad way IMOP. I have had a LOT of people at the drag strip coment on the way it sounds. At highway speed the sound almost disappears, under load it sounds evil. There is a lot of in-cabin noise at low RPM and undera lot of loadbut it is never so bad thatI can't hear the radio at reasonable levels. Just removing the mufflers and not putting on tail pipes was not a good sound at all. A lot of popping and gurggling when letting off.
Thats what I'm running on my car and my pops. 100 bucks at a muffler shop to Weld in pipe for the muffler and reuse stock tips. I think it sounds great.

I heard one at the OC Cruise. She took off the muffler and put on resonators. Look for HottyMustang.. Didn't sound bad to me. I personally like the pipes sticking out the back

I've heard it sounds like crap. just pick up a set of SLP loudmouths.
ummm SLP LM are Muffler Deletes... they are just Very Nice Looking Pipes with hangers.
so why would it sound different with LM over just pipes bolted on? I think both sound the same and like crap.

They do sound pretty much the same. Crap to some, good to others.

here is a video of the motoblue rs mufflers. the idle is a very good example of how they sound. when he revs it up, the camera kind of screws it up, it sound much better in person.

they acutally sound pretty good

compared to stock.. how much louder are they from the outside..

would you say they are twice as loud, maybe a little louder just deeper.. etc.. b/c as i said, i have to get this approved by my step dad while i still live at home, (a few more months) and would like to do exhaust ASAP

-thanks

at idle, they are i would say, close to 2x as loud as stock.(which still isnt really that loud). at WOT they are pretty loud, but i havent had the stockers on in a while so i cant say exactly how much louder.(signifcantly louder tho). there is drone inside the car(which i like). i would say they are pretty loud, but not close to obnoxious
