Default Brake Light Problem on 05

I'm new here so I may not be posting in the right spot, but I was hoping someone has heard of this problem before.

When I turned off my 05 V6 Mustang tonight, I noticed that one brake light stayed on. I have tried everything that I can think of to get it to turn off. I tried popping off the battery terminal to turn it off but it kept setting off my alarm and didn't wnat to disturb the neighbors anymore at 11 at night.

If anyone has any thoughts, I could really use the help.

Thanks.

Rob

Check out the water leak threads. You have moisture getting to your smart junction box. It is located on the passenger side. You will want to take it to the dealer. The corrosion that the moisture will cause will ultimately cause a full system failure. Happended to me and has happened to many others. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

+1 and drive to the dealer with hazards on because a stuck on brake light will confuse some people and they may not notice you coming to a stop, especially if it's sudden.
