Do you still have the window sticker??? I just went out and looked, and couldn't find one freakin' car with more than one discount on it, I tell you, it burns me not to have anything to show them. If you still have your sticker, and could scan it perhaps, I may be able to hit them with that...
Also, what color is the gauge cluster if you don't have the My Color option? I'm thinking about not getting the IUP, so I can choose my own custom color dash kit, and was hoping to find out what differences may exist between the non IUP and IUP equipped instrument panel.

Well, there is the window sticker...I blocked out a couple of things like the VIN...lol
Sorry but don't know how to get the picture to show up in the post. If you download it you should be able to print it out. Also the sticker was a little larger than my scanner...LOL

We're looking at trading in both Accords for one Mustang, so I'm dealing with about $7500 total negative equity, if they come correct on the trade in. I've got a face to face appointment with one dealer today, and I'd like to have that much more polish for negotiations if at all possible.

If you have any additional questions regarding your financing options, I'd be happy to help out.
By the way, if you're open to a GT, I purchased mine in Houston for $6,000 below the window sticker ($1,500 rebate at the time, and a $4,500 dealer discount). It was the last Mustang I thought I'd own (black auto), and coming out of a '03 Cobra, it felt damn slow. However, after a gear change and new programming, I'm happy with the outcome. I'm not sure if there's any deals like that going on right now, but I'd be happy to check around for you.
Let me know...
Nick
Hey Stanglover, much appreciated, I just hope they don't accuse me of fabricating it!
We'll see what they have to say about this, and how much they're willing to work to "earn my business"... The only thing I can think of is that they may want to know when the purchase date was, because different discount programs may have been active then. Good looking out, I'll have to make sure I give you props when the deal goes through.
Nix, here's my situation as it stands right now. One Accord's payoff is $22,415 and I'm trying to get $19,000 for it at least. We owe $23,575 on hers, and I'm trying to get at least $19,500 for it, because it's got 11,000 miles less on it than mine. That's where I came up with the negative equity number for trade in purposes. Also, here's my new configuration, to see if I can keep the price as low as I can to help eat up the negative equity: (note: the rows with three columns of numbers are MSRP, Invoice, National average
552 Anti-Lock Braking System w/Traction Control $775 $674 $736

43A Front Seat Side-Mounted Airbags $380 $330 $361
14A Active Anti-Theft System $325 $283 $309
20A ABS w/Traction Control Discount -$775 -$674 -$674
Color Adjustment - - $68
Vista Blue Clearcoat Metallic
Destination Charge $745 $745 $745
Total with Options $22,965 $21,273 $22,443
I did this with only one discount applied, just in case, and those totals at the bottom are without the customer cash from Ford applied, or any dealer discount. We've been financed through AHFC for our cars now at no more than 5.14%for the highest car, and our credit situation has improved immensely since we dealt for these. The last time I dabbled in dealing for a ride, credit never came up as an issue, so I'd hope that's a good sign. As far as a GT goes, I spent all night looking online with Ford's crappy tracker, looking for a 5-spd with as few features as I could possibly find. All I really need are the safety features like SAB, and ABS, good for insurance purposes. The comfort group has to have the leather picked also, so I had no choice because she wants the power heated seats like in our Hondas. I've decided to get the V6 the same way, since I'll be adding a lot of my own stuff anyway. I'll check around to see who's got the best deal on a GT going, and I'd definitely like to take you up on your offer to look around. One last thing, when the multiple discount issue came up, they said they couldn't order one like that with the discounts combined, but I wonder if they found one already sitting on a lot, do you think I could get as many as the car was already equipped with?

I found a GT on a local dealer's lot Russell and Smith Ford) for $29,140 (Tungsten Grey Metallic on Charcoal leather), but it's an auto. However, Ford is offering $2,640 in factory rebates ($1,000 customer cash and $1,640 bonus cash) on all GT auto's through 07/02/07. If you can still get the college grad disc of $500, that gives you over $3,000 off of the window sticker. Plus, you can negotiate additional discounts through the dealer - at least another $1,000 - $1,200. Hypothetically, that's a '07 GT (auto) for under $25,000.
If the auto is not your cup of tea (it definitely wasn't mine, but I've adjusted to it quite nicely, especially since I can grab a 3rd gear "chirp" every time), another dealer locally (Planet Ford) was advertising a 2007 Mustang Coupe Deluxe for $15,999. Not sure what the MSRP is, but it might be worth checking out...

I've found a few cars in and around AR that have more than one discount applied! Some have the IUP and Ext sport package together as an appearance package discount, some have the SAB and anti theft system together as a safety package discount. That knocks out the dealer's claim that you can't have more than one at a time, but now I'm having trouble finding any with more than two. I guess on the bright side, I've also found cars equipped with options that should be discounted, that don't show the discount on the sticker at all, so I wonder if I could turn that against the dealer to bargain.
I absolutly hate side air bags.
In the last accident I was in I got t-boned by an F-150 while driving a Kia Optima. I had my seatbelt on like I should. The side air bag blew. When it blew it came out of the seat forcing my shoulder forward while the seatbelt locked up and kept my shoulder from going forward. The two opposing forces did something to my shoulder which no one has been able to find. After physical therapy, a cortisone shot and seeing a neurologist nothing has really helped.
I won't own a car with side airbags now unless I absolulty have too
And I bought my car in late Febuary of 2007.

I understand, but I'd much rather have my shoulder pinned between a seatbelt and airbag, than my face against a pickup or SUV driven by a roadhog. I did more research, and saw what the dealer was talking about, the discounts have letter codes attached to them, and only discounts of like kind can be applied at the same time. So, since I want the SAB/Traction control package, I can't have any other official package discount. However, I just noticed today that my closest local dealer is advertising a flat $2507 off V6 models, so I took that to the dealership across town that I had been dealing with, and asked them to beat it. I asked them to give me what I was asking for my trades, 19k and 19.5k respectively, and to beat my local dealer's discount by $500. After a lot of back and forth, I got the salesman to take a request of $2900 to beat my local dealership, and allowed them to charge me $1000 for a sunroof, even though I know from selling cars recently that the dealer cost for a roof is about $850. Dude came back, and tried to spin numbers on me, and to make a long story short, we were about $1100 apart, and he tried to say that was a result of a mandatory profit dictated by his managers on everyMustang sale! I called B.S. on this, and proceeded to throw the domestic big 3's financial woes of late, kind of implying that they were in no position to demand anything with Ford bleeding money right now. Something rubbed me the wrong way about dealing with my salesman today, especially when he tried to play me by telling me it would cost me $500 for them to dealer trade for a car out of state. Problem with this is that I already knew the location of the car, which was only 90 miles away, in state... I let him know I knew this, and he came back later in the negociations with $175pickup fee, and tried to hit me with the supposed $600 minimum profit for all Mustangs they sell. I figure that I'll call the General Manager over there and let him know how his man lied to my face about the car, and see if they can make ammends. If not, I'll just make sure to pass the word on about their business practices, and try to order the car over the internet. Also been researching GT's, and noticed that equipped exactly the same, a Premium is actually $180 cheaper than a deluxe. Go figure. I'm curious to know, what have folks been able to get off the GT's from the dealers, before the Ford customer cash is thrown into the mix?
