SHOCKS FOR THE 1/4 MILE
Ok, I just got a good leeson from guys at work about how important shocks play a roll in the 1/4 mile. With stock shocks, the weight doesn't really transfer to the rear for traction. With good after market shocks, the car will lift in the frontoff of the line , and keep most of the weight on the rear tires.
So which shocks do I go with?

I would first start off by replacing your LCAs & UCA then install the BMR sway bar delete. Those three items wiil do wonders for you! Then get some D/Rs.That will be a huge step also!Do these first Bro & see how your car does.Unless your running over 500RWHP I would'nt bother with replacing the shocks.JMO though.
Yes they are perfectly safe for the street. The only differance is you wont be able to go into corners above 50mph.You will also cut 26lbs from the nose of the car!It only takes about 30-45min to install too.Call BMR & they will ship one for about 150.00.Someone said you can find other name brands cheaper though. But make sure you get some D/Rs also!Let me know how your car does after you do these things.
I love the BMR front swaybar delete/radiator support. I can tell a difference on how the front of the car pulls up when I launch (when i hook). The removal of the swaybar + the weight savings really seems to transfer the weight to the back better but without major power, slicks or DRs in the back, and front runner skinnies, don't expect to pull the front wheels or anything.
Great mod though.

If you lowered your car with FRPP springs, with stock shocks, and no LCA reloc brackets, that is a part of the problem.
You can certainly remove the sway bar, put in drag shocks, etc. But the thing will be miserable to drive hard on the street.

I never noticed that. My cars nose would always pop right up and transfer with stock springs and shocks.
