CERVINI KIT
Hey all! This is a post for all you Cervini guys. The kit is definatly the sweetest thing ever to come out for the mustang from any model year. I can't wait to get one. Unfortunatly, my wallet forces me to. I am wondering, for the guys that had their own shop put the kit on and paint it, what did you end of shelling out for the install? Oh yeah, lets see those pics too!! Thanks!

I didn't have the money either so I did it piece by piece... The shop painted cheaply and I was happy.
Now I am not so happy. There are chips and flaking paint in about 4 places. I am sure they will warantee their work, but it should not have happened in the first place. Double sided tape out here in Arizona does not cut it either. Need to get the stuff rivited on to do it right. The kit does look sexy as hell though!

I love my kit I bought the hood and side pieces only and got it painted at a shopthat doesexellent work painted under the hoodlike I asked them to it was not cheap but they are known for there workmanship, cause if you dont prep these parts you will have problems. You do pay for what you get.

RE: CERVINI KIT
The full Cerini bodykit (C-300) is extremely labor intensive. The pieces must be prepped and primed with an epoxy based primer. This is the key to getting a job that doesn't peel and flake- I've seen some cases where you could literally peel sheets of paint off because of improper prepping. The other part that takes a lot of time is installing the side exhaust. In the end you get what you pay for. If you get it done cheaply, then expect problems.
The guy we used, when I worked for Lone Star Ford, did phenominal work. He wasn't cheap, but then his work was show quality; some customers would get bumps and scrapes over time, but the scuffs and damage would be limited to the points of contact and wouldn't result in more paint coming off. I've also had some customers that had Cervini do the work, and they were not happy with the quality of the striping.

Well I did all the prep work (After the primer peeled off from the first shop!!)It's alot of work, but since I did the prep I got it done pretty cheap. And I did the install myself (Still working with the exhaust)My budget was very tight and that was the only way I could get it done. And here's a slide show I just made(Not try'n to showboat)http://s171.photobucket.com/albums/u294/eleanor06_2007/?action=view¤t=newestvid.flv
