I agree with you Frost, that's why I'm looking to give her a lil' go, with the supercharger. 350-400hp is more than enough for me. Gives the car the credibility to have the look, you know? I will say though, that the stock GT is a heck of a bargain for what you get. 300hp at 26 grand is good by any measure. The only other car that I think had a better value was the 05-06 GTO at 400hp of the showroom floor for a little over 30 grand.

How would you like to be the guy who buys that and has to turn everyone down from looking under the hood...that'll hurt the ego...

You think it's gonna be that easy to double the V-6's output without major issues with drivetrain failure?
The clutch won't hold up to that much of an increase, the diff will make an early exit and if the GT's stock brakes are "adequate" with 300hp, I can only imagine the Sixer's binders trying to stop that much hp. Be careful what you wish for IMO..........

What's a good value on those things you suggest upgrading, if you don't mind? I don't mind eating into the budget for "candy" stuff, like the system, and paint, and I'm sure I could find some wheels on the cheap that still look good. Actually, the Konig Hotswap I mentioned before, is cheaper than the Ford racing wheel from the dealer, and looks better in my opinion. Maybe too "import" for some, but this will be my first domestic car, I have to transition slowly...[sm=tongue.gif]

I'd be going with the black wheel, and red inserts. I'd have to get the opal ones for the wife's car, have them powder coated white, and the inserts coated vista blue.

The rocker stripes should be

GT 500P= Poser

or

GT500W = wannabe

if it had the wheels, it does look good though

I would imagine that better pad material for the brakes(along with s.s. hoses), a stronger clutch assembly and an LSD 8.8" take-off upgrade(under $800.00 new from aftermarket vendors) for some peace of mind and some attention to the cooling system(i.e. radiator size/cooling ability). The car will survive(for a while) in stock form with the power you'd like to add, but I'm just saying, for peace of mind, key upgrades to heavily stressed areas will go far down the road for you. Best of luck once you get your car

Cool, thanks for the advice. I'm still looking everyday, until the car hits the dealer. I'm sure if I find one out there for me somewhere close between now and June when both are supposed to be here, they won't mind having one left over to sell. Even the sales manager there told me that the way I had them configured, he didn't think he'd have a problem moving them if I changed my mind. I'd like to keep my business there, since they've been really cool to deal with so far, I just hope things don't change when it's time to sign the dotted line...
