Got Stopped for the FOG Lights being on
I live just across the state line in NC, and they will ticket you for your tint if it's to dark. Also that law that rousch helped change IS already in effect I believe. I hate it when I have to go up there for anything. They stopped me once for having a decal that was to big on my back window. I could still see through it perfectly. He just told me I had to remove it, or not come into his state with it.

Not that you want to start spouting this to a pissy state trooper, but here is the first sentence of the first section of Article IV of the Constitution:
Article IV
Section 1. Full faith and credit shall be given in each state to the public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state.
Basically, if your car inspection/registration or even wedding/drivers license or whatever (you get the idea) is legal in the state you are a resident of that must be respected by whatever state you are in. I'm no law expert but I remember this being harped on pretty hard in my high school Practical Law class (9 years ago). That being said I know from experience none of that applies to concealed carry permits and many other gun laws...

I'm not surprised he was confused. Although I have never been pulled over I get people coming the other way flashing their brights at me thinking I have mine on. They realize the difference when I flash the real brights back at them. But it's weird though because the driving lights go out when you hit the brights so some people think you turned off the brights. Can't win.
You didn't get the ticket because the cop knew the law and would have been further embarrased in court. Maybe he was checking out your car.

Don't change the color of your fogs! You're fine.
Print the research you just did and keep it in the glovebox.
I drive with all four on whenever my lights are on.
It's amazing how cops try to bull$hit/intimidate their way out of situations where they clearly know they are in the wrong. Ought to be a law.....

When I was Lived in Florida, I had a Pickup Truck, decked out with Lights on brush guard and Lights on the Bed Roll Bar, and I always drove around with the 4 lights turned on, on the brush guard and never got pulled.
I loved Florida,
Ya, It was one of these Mopar Cops that pulled me over, it was on 606 behind the Dulles Airport...
