Gapping Spark Plug

Gapping Spark Plug
I read a post on here awile back about how to gap our plugs with a 9/16 inch socket and a vice but after searching for over an hour I can't find it again. Does anyone have a link or if the author is out there could you please help me out finding the post. I'm putting my S/C on this weekend and need to re-gap them.
Also does anyone have an opinion if I really need to buy colder plugs or not. I've read posts that say yes and some that say no. I'm going to order them but there is know way I will have them in time for this weekend. I thought it was something I could just pick up at Autozone but I guess not. Anyway thanks in advance for any help and advice.

Is this the one?

PM Hawgman, I believe it's his idea and he's a real knowledge base when it comes to our cars.
Hope this helps.
John
EDIT: BTW you don't need colder plugs unless you're F/I (Supercharged, Turbo, Nitrous, etc.).

RE: Gapping Spark Plug
Yes that's the one thank you very much.
BTW the whole reason I'm asking for this information is because I'm putting my Kenne Bell Supercharger on this weekend and need to re-gap my plugs. I just want to know if anyone has an opinion if it's really necessary to go with a colder plug for a supercharger or not. It seems that it's not a requirment by Kenne Bell but recommended. I just don't know if I dare run my car for a week or so until I get the new plugs in. If so can I run it hard or should I lay off it a little?

RE: Gapping Spark Plug
I put in the colder plugs in with my KB install. I don't think it would be an issue at all under normal driving. The hotter plug (actually the ceramic neck of the plug) is a potential source of preignition. This is of concern with higher cylinder temps andhigher pressure (usually speaking of power adders). Increased timing advance, higher static compression ratios, high engine load (going up a hill in high gear) or low octane will also lead to preignition.
BTW, I used the vice method, but someone has a $40 tool for this as well.
