Default Plug wires

I've been reading lots of conflicing info on aftermarket plug wires....they make power, they waste money so here is my question,
are the wires that come with our cars (V6...yes I bought a 6) good enough? Are they capable of holding tuned power? Will aftemarket help with HP in any way, not making it but allowing the car to work at its potential?
Thanks!

I think that the aftermarket wires will help in that they will insulate better than stock. I am sure if a different material in the wire is used than the stock wires that is proven to perform better than there is a benefit there as well. In the past I have changed to 8.8 accel wires for the look and color difference and I cut the wires to length so there is less resistance in the wires as it is shorter butI didn't notice any difference in power or performance.
