I actually had a similar question. I recently bought the Roush shift **** and it doesn't fit with the factory shift boot either. I was wondering if they made one to fit the Roush ****?

I find it unique that the Roush **** won't fit with the factory boot. I'm not calling you a liar. Just amazed that Roush would make something that's small, simple and easy to change, and it doesn't marry up with the OEM part. I always thought that was part of the advantage of buying something from Roush or Saleen, you knew it would fit your car. Hmmm learn something new every day !

Rut Roh! Better rethink the chrome ball eh? Well...maybe a black cue ball? Hmmm...I really wanted a t-handle shifter but can't find them for the 05+ stangs. Bummer....guess I better think again.[]

yup, advanced auto and also autozone have them, they come with adapters so you can fit it on any shifter ****. You just need to pick the correct color. So go there and check, It comes in that color and also they have a chrome version. If you cant find it let me know and if you need i can get one for you and ship it to you.

If it's universal, how did you get it to fit our "unique" thread. Do you have a real close up of yours? Does the boot come all the way up? Sorry for all the questions.

no not at all, my shifter is a hurst shifter so it kind of fit already but the kit comes with over 7 different types of bolt threads that you can use. I does come with a metal ring that you attach the boot to also. I hope i have helped, i would suggest getting a new shifter. its a ton better and the new mgw shifter is getting rave reviews. Good luck
