I dont see why it wouldn't suck some rain in... But the small amount would only wipe itself along the walls of the air tube. At the worst it would reach the airbox, but thats unlikely.
When it's raining does it suck in any water along with the air ????
I know some people with Shakers who have driven through torent downpours with no ill effects whatsoever. Even if water were to get to the airbox, it's before the filter anyway.
