16 gallon tank so i have a full gallon left when it hits 0.

Is it only the newer Stangs that the fuel gauge turns red? I don't think mine does it

 

It does base it on the current and previous MPG that you have gotten.

 

Every time my stang beeps I put gas in it next chance I get. So I've never had it turn red on me, and I don't want to try either. You are such a bonehead when you get stranded on the side of the road. That's why I have both the gas meter and the trip meter as my buddies. I need to fill er up around 200-250 miles.

 

You have to have the MYCOLOR upgrade.

I've got mine down to 2 miles. Had the red guage light one, too.

 

It'snice to have but I always fill up at a 1/4 tank regardless.

 

I try to fill up at half a tank....dont ask why, just something I do.
