He pulled me over for the plate only. There was two officers as well. I only drive her on nice days and always obey the laws of the road. They probably couldn't wait to find a reason to pull me over. In a town of maybe 2000 people and being 20 years old and owning a Mustang they probably would have pulled me over for looking the wrong way. I only said the window idea cause If I could I would just put in my window when I go in/out of town.
Well, you're going to find them pulling you over in lots of small towns around here and even on the Pike. It's an inspection requirement as well unless the inspector is not paying attention. And the window won't do, it needs to be affixed to the front.

There is one way out of it, and that is to transfer the registration from an old green plate onto your mustang and then you are only required to have one plate, and it's all legal. Otherwise with the red plates you need both.

Here in Pennsylvania we have only one plate. I'm assuming over the years that might change.
Of course, here in Pennsylvania we have messed up laws.

We have always had the law about wearing motorcycle helmets when riding on a motorcycle.
Not sure when, but they passed it, it's your option now if you want to wear one or not. No law required.

In other hands, Seatbelts were not required for many years. Just the last few years, they are cracking down on it. But the police can't do anything about it unless they pull you over for another violation. NOTE: Many people don't use them. It should be your option just like helmets. I do in my Mustang.

Here in PA, you have to wear a helmet on a regular bike, especially kids... A joke!!!
Motorcycle = no helmet/ regular bike = Helmet

Cell phone use while driving...hmmm everyone has a differnt veiw about this.
No law here....But I see it coming very soon.

Loud music in cars - no law here, But I could see it coming soon.

I don't know how other states do it, but they must raise the registration fees for the tags. Here in PA its $36.00/year.
Wouldn't you think it would go up for 2 plates/2 tags?

Bad enough you have to pay for State inspection and emission test. Even if you are excempt from the emissions you still have to pay for it. But older cars that smoke stay under 5,000 miles a year don't have to get tested.
Oh thats great for the air.

Things laws suck big time.

I agree it ruins the look of the car. I don't even like any plates on the front.

I believe that is what I pay annually for two specialty plates. The regular plates are cheaper. I guess they are able to charge us that much because they use prisons to make the plates.
It's the law here too that kids under 18 must wear a helmet. It's also the law that all motorcyclist wear a helmet. I do believe there is a law that states car stereos ean only exceed certain decibels.....but you would never know it driving down Atlantic Avenue in Va. Beach in the summer time.
It is a state wide law that requires you to wear your seat belt and the cops will pull you over if you do not have it on.
There are a lot of picky laws here in VA. Just make sure if you drive through, hide your radar detector.....it's against the law.
