Front Plate Law - Help

Front Plate Law - Help
So yesterday I got pulled over and given a verbal warning for having no front plate. This is in Massachusetts. He said next time is a ticket which gives me points on my insurance. I did not think points would go on your insurance for no front plate. Now what technically is the law? If I have the plate in my window is that alright? I don't mind paying tickets as long as I don't get points. Can anyone enlighten me on Massachusetts law, and if points are given or not? Thanks!

I think every state is different. When I livedin Georgia no front plate required, here in Utah it is required. I dont have mine installed but keep it in the trunk just in case.

Ct. it's the law too. No window.( it would look stupid there anyway) I know some people get panicy about iton the forum but the new Mustang already has the spot for it anyway, so I say mount it. Why keep getting pulled over. As far as points, anytime your issued a ticket, insurance co. know about it. In my opinion.

Moss Mustangs has a plate bracket -

I can't attest to it's functionality as the dealer had already bored two holes to mount the tag when I picked the car up.
