Cheap Trunk For 2006
Ok... I want to get a new trunk for my car. I don't want the body shop to do the fill and repaint because I want to keep the cars original parts. Also, they would charge me for labor and repaint (I want to do this right) so the difference in cost is probably marginal. My car came with the stock GT spoiler but I want to go to the CDC ducktail. Can someone point me where to find a CHEAP OEM trunk lid replacement? Also, as a second question, do I have to order new weatherstripping as well? I have not checked if it was glued down or not.
I check FordPartsGuys.com and found a trunk for $265.86. Can anyone do better?
Thanks For you help.

RE: Cheap Trunk For 2006
Unfortunately the CDC ducktail does not cover the holes. They have an optional spoiler delete kit but, I personally dont like the way it looks. I am way too picky and would not be happy without having the holes filled.
The spoiler is available with or without pony logo (an indention has been added to the with logo spoilers to provide a flush appearance), in all factory colors and unpainted. To simplify the installation process, order your Mustang with the Spoiler DELETE option. If you have the factory spoiler you can order CDC’s optional stock spoiler hole delete kit. The Nifty Hole Filler Set eliminates the need to repaint the trunk while giving additional appeal to the Ducktail Spoiler.

your best bet may be going to a dealership and trying to swap with a V6 or even another 8....make an offer to them and see what they say....i've thought about this plenty of times, and just cant make justice out of doing it...
