Standar Stick
Hello mustangers!!
I just got my Stang last week!!! BOO YEAH!!! I didnt follow your recommendatiosn about waiting for 08 for that thunking issue cause here in Mexico it tooks so long for it to come in.
I wonder if this is normal on the standard stick, the leather doesnt fit to the stick correctly, is that ok ?
Thanks

RE: Standar Stick
If I'm looking at that picture correctly, it appears that there's an aftermarket bezel and ****.
If that's the case that may be why the boot won't secure around the bottom of the **** (boot opening may not fit the **** properly and/or the bezel may be pushing the boot down so that it can't reach the **** in 1st, 3rd, 5th).

RE: Standar Stick
Unscrew the shift **** and remove it. Also remove the bezel and lift the boot/bezel off of the shift ****. Now, look to see if there is a rubber "O" ring on the leather or laying in the shifter area somewhere. What has happened is it has come off.
The handle supposed to go through the hole and the "O" ring slide over the bottom of the ****. The the leather supposed to fold back down over the "O" ring, thus holding the boot to the ****. That is what the grove in the bottom of the shift **** is for.
