Damn Damn Damn!

Had car for less than a month & sure enough Bam! a stone hits the windshield & leaes a chip. I was pissed. I know it happens, but so soon

 

Yeh it sucks...I feel your pain, I have just 3K miles on mine and last week I got a rock chip in the middle of my Hood....

 

Not sure about where you live but in Florida, insurance will replace it for free - no deductible. Make sure they use the original Ford glass. You can also try to have it fixed if you find a place to do it and it is a small chip but most say itmay spread and won't guarantee the work.

Small consolation though - sorry to hear - sucks to have to replace your windshield so soon.

(I had a Jeep Wrangler for 11 years and had to replace the front windshield 3 times - it is flat and very suceptible to getting hit.)

Me too! I now have a split that goes half way across the windshield. It's hard to look at.

 

Well, you guys think you had it bad...

I got my 07 GT in November...in Feb/Mar of this year i hit a rock storm. Literally, I was driving on the highway with minimal vehicles, and this huge storm of rocks (like a sand storm in the middle east) engulfs my car. As a result, the wind shield was practically destroyed, and the hood , bumper, grille, lights, everything on the car had chips. I had to have the windshield replaced along with half the car repainted, pony replaced, etc. The car is back to new now, but I couldn't believe that had happened to my brand new Mustang..

 

Just replaced my windshield two weeks ago. $500 deductible here in Utah so paid $400 to glass company to replace. Make sure you get an exact replacement. Mine has the Mustang logo on the inside. Nice to drive without little chips, pits in the glass though.
