Mystang04 just put in 4.10' on Sat. I got to drive it after and what a difference in response. It should have come from the factory like this. It made the car easier to drive. Easier gear changing.

Moosestang I don't believe you have to remove the driveshaft. I would let the professionals do this though.

Gears are a very complicated install if you're not experienced. Specialized tools are needed and if not set up correctly, the gears will whine and/or not wear properly or become damaged. The driveshaft, wheels, calipers, rotors and axles have to be removed.

I'm having 3.73's put into my '06 GT auto on Thursday.

No. That was the same question I had but after we put 4.10 in on Saturday, I ralized it was the best thing we could have done. It makes gear change points more friendly and easier day to day driving. Trust me I was the biggest skeptic but now that they are in I am thinking 4.30's would have been alright as well. Do it and dont look back

Get the Ford Racing gears FRPP they should run you about 200.00 - 240 for the kit.
install should run between 250.00 -500.00, depends on your area and shop and dealer will charge between 500.00 - 800.00
