Need some input from others
Alright, I'm looking for some input from others to see what you all think. I'm starting to piece together stuff right now to start modding the stang. I'm kinda leery about messing with the motor too much right away to avoid warranty issues, so I'm starting with body mods first. So far, I'm doing the CDC classic chin spoiler, Roush louvers on the quarter windows, and an eleanor grill to relocate the fog lights after I get silver stripes painted on the car. After all of this is done in the next month or so, I figure if it looks fast, it should at least sound fast until I can make it really fast. I love the sound of SLP exhaust, but don't want to spend that much on exhaust right now.
OK, so here's where I need input: I'm highly considering the Motoblue RS mufflers and aPypes x-pipefrom RPMoutlet. everyone I've talked to that has them, likes them. My only concern is that the muffler itself is aluminized steel, not stainless. The car is a garaged baby, never seeing road salt, and never sees rain unless it is unavoidable (like driving back from a carshow and getting caught in a shower) Aluminized steel has decent corrosion resistance, but nothing compared to stainless, obviously. I'm considering buying these mufflers and using high temp ceramic header paint to paint the mufflers themselves black. The piping and tips are stainless, so I'm not worried about them. Do you think this would be enough to get me through a couple years without rust problems? Or should I just wait and do exhaust and rims next summer? I was planning on doing a tune and wheels next summer.

i have the slp loudmouths, not that expencive only 305 from brenspeed, the sound is great, and i get alot of compliments on it, if your going the get mufflers with a x/h pipe your going to spend more then just the loudmouths. on the warranty issue, the dealership has to prove that the uppgrade is what caused the issue to begin with and the warranty is only void for that problem.
I've found the x-pipe (street legal, damn emissions) and RS mufflers for about $250 shipped, that is why I'm considering it, it is less than the SLP's. Yea, the dealers have to prove the mod resulted in the failure, but I really don't feel like messing with it. My dealer now is pretty mod friendly, but I'm planning on moving in the next year or so and don't know what they will be like wherever I end up.
