Yep, you'll have your warranty and the perfect excuse why everyone else with FI is blowing by you...lol

Sorry, but the roots Roush blower is the LEAST performing s/c available. No way no how worth the money IMO. Better to wait till your warranty expires and get a good kit IMO.

'Warranty' and 'Fast' are an oxymoron.

nothsa/ ford fan
So why can I not have a warranty and a 110 hp and when the warranty runs out get a whipple?
reason it is the LEAST performing is the front pulley, It only makes 5 psi , but it keeps the warranty. To me it's kinda like having a 100 shot all the time. A 100 shot is not alot, but until the warranty is gone and a 200 shot can be put into play, what’s the problem?
By the way, Twin turbo would be better than a whipple, but then?

BTW - I didn't vote because all of your choices are good choices depending on what you want. Since you didn't take the time to explain what you wanted and expected out of the car, it's not worth doing the poll other than to show who is loyal to what. You should get a prize for making the 1,000,000 poll asking this question.

Try seareching around and reading some threads and you'll find more than enough info an just about all the FI kits available. There is now ay any person can tell you from your question what kit is the best for you. Try describing whaty you plan on doing with the car, how much and how you drive, what HP are you looking for as a limit, what are your plans on the stock motor, and what kind of suspension mods you plan in the future.

With this information, people will be able to help you a lot better with informed answers instead of just "I like the whipple" or "I like a turbo" etc, etc.

Go with the FRPP Wipple (Have ford intall it and you can have a warranty) :-)
Roush will pickup the ford warranty but only upto 110hpbecause the tunes aresafe and will not cause engine problems. the higher the HP with a bad tune will blow your engine

I am working on plans to get the Wipple... By far the best choice.
If I can't raise that much I may go with Saleen.

But then we're not talking about twin screws are we? A Twin Turbo set-up is the ONLY way to make big HP and be streetable IMO.

Now back to the Roush. If you want to dump 6K for a few years and recoup maybe $250 for it after and then drop another 6K - then that's your perroagative, but then if you have it like that, it doesn't make sense to be worred about a warranty, does it? Even if you pulley down the roush, it is still the leasrt perfoming charger out there. Doesn't matter if it's running 15 psi, it iwll make less power than everything else at 15 psi. Bad deal all the way around IMO.

And I garuntee you if you line up against someone at the track with 100 shot with your roush charger - you will lose and lose bad so it's not "like a 100 shot". Most guys running a 100 shot are seeing in the mid/high 7 range and you will not even smell a 7 with that roush.

When you have gone through 2 built motors, a vortech, a vortech with N20, a 67mm turbo, a 76mm turbo, and a KB on your car, THEN you can ask ME for money...lol

I wouldn't put the Roush on my car if it was given to me for free. It's possible things have changed, but when I looked into it the warranty was a dollar amount - 5k I believe. It doesn't mean Ford covers you still - it means Roush foots the bill. 5k at the dealer comes up quick, and a new motor w/ install is more than that. Is that wortha measly 115hp (in perfect conditions)?

If you can afford it, the Whipple is the best IMO

if you are on a budget, go with a Vortech. personally i'm a fan of another but I don't feel like fighting that battle today LOL

Well first off guys. There is no Wrong choice. Thats a fact, there all about the same. You have to narrow it down to T/S, Cent,Turbo.
As for what someone said about turbos here are the really facts.

1) There not quite. At full boost IMO there not anything thats sounds more Bad Asz than a turbo
2) They run hot, there using exhaust. Trust me its one of if not the hottest F/I out there
3) In some ways its better on your engine since you can stay out of boost, than like other F/I, so you can stay in the vaccum and be fine. But when you hit it and boost is all the way up. Especially at 10 psi and higher its like N20, so you better have a good tune and your A/F is key as among other things.
4) Driveabilty, this is still up for debate IMO, but if you have an auto you are going to run into issues thats a fact, Mark knows that. As for a manuel, I think the jurys out on it. No one has been able to do it yet. But we hope to be the first to get up there in boost and have good street and track.

IMO most guys who want F/I need to go T/S or Centi. Stay away from turbo unless you know what your getting into and you better have a very good shop/tuner who knows what there doing or you going to have a engine go by by!
