No there is a TSB on this issue and you can live with it and do the 3 o'clock position or get the gas tank replaced and maybe the fuel pump and for most people it was problem solved.

I push on the handle straight in and it works fine. I don't need to twist on anything, just pick up a little on the handleand straight in.

I've only had one time the tank didn't fill all the way and it was just a little under (about 1.7 gallons) full. I think that was more how the pumps at that station were set than anything else. Every time I fill up it's close to what the computer says I've used, within .2 gallons.

Are you seeing the 1/2 tank indication after you're done or while you're filling up?

That's the way it works with mine too. Sometimes, I try to go to max click on the fuel start up, but it shut off. I have to put it on slow to fuel up.

I have an '07 and when it was new I had problems pumping gas a couple of times. But I haven't had any shut-offs since. Haven't a clue why though? [sm=dontgetit.gif]
