Default RE: First ever new Ford

Congrats on the new car! I had a Black on Black '82 GT so I know how laborious it can be to keep the car in mint condition. I sold it 4 years ago to a car collector who dropped his jaw when he saw it! YES, I kept a car cover on it, BUT it was always clean before I put it on. I am a strong believer of car covers.
The stang I have now has never been washed and I bought it in Dec. '06. I never drive it in the rain, keep it detailed with Mequires and a California Duster as well as a car cover. The other posters are right that a cover can damage your paint IF you don't make sure your car is clean before putting it on.
I'd rather put a cover on to protect the paint than to go out after the car has been sitting 6 hours in the hot sun with bird crap on it.

Enjoy and take care of your ride!
