Is this the Hurst you are all referring to? What is the difference between the FRPP Hurst shifter and this one?

There is no difference.... Except that a guy on here recently complained that the FRPP does not include a stick and ball. Someone posted saying it does include it, but that it doesn't say hurst.

Anyways, who cares? Just get the Hurst! Its a classic name and you'd want it over FRPP anyways.

Thanks, Everyone is very opinionated when comes to shorth throw. 1/3 of the people live and die buy MGW, 1/3 Tri-Ax Steeda, or the Hurst. I wish I could drive all three once to see which one I like but I guess I will just guess and go with the Hurst bc it is the cheapest and looks the sweetest. I love how the boot doesn't come all the way upto the ****. And that white ****!

I paid $130 for my Hurst shifter and that included shipping. I lucked out and found a guy on another forum selling directly from B&M. So I figure I saved $170 by not going with the MGW shifter. Besides that most people that buy the MGW end up putting a white ball on top to look like the Hurst anyway.

For the poster who wanted the black ball to put on the Hurst short throw shifter, it is part # 530-163-0108 from jegs.com.

I agree the Hurst is very "click-clack" but I like it and I positively know I'm in 3rd gear now from 2-3 and 4 to 3 shifts. With the stock shifter I did not have that confidence.

Unless you've been living under a rock, the best shifter for the S197 Mustangs in made by MGW. No comparison.
Too funny, crawl back under your rock.

The Hurst is fine, no issues, looks great and performs. It can be had for under $180 shipped. If you need to spend $$$ to feel good about yourself you can always go to the tee-tee bar.
