Glad to see that you're OK and it certainly looks repairable.
I had an accident like that about 5 years ago. I was driving through the intersection with a green light and a teenager turned left in front of me.
Luckily, I was almost able to stop in time because I was driving about 5 mph under the speed limit. As it was I just tapped him.
I've been more cautious around intersections since then. I typically slow down when coming to one, especially if it's a "stale" green. Sometimes, I coast through them and cover the brake. Also, when the light turns green I usually wait a second or two before pulling out.
It's a bit cautious, but saved me a couple of weeks ago. I was stopped at an intersection when I got a green arrow. I slowly pulled out to turn left and someone ran the red light and turned left in front of me. He narrowly missed me, but had I gunned it at the light, then I would have been toast.
Good luck on your repairs! Be sure to post back if you get a new hood! Hopefully, your rates don't go up too much.
Oh, as far as your hood, here's a vendor with stock hoods for around $400 plus shipping. I saw another stock hood for $350 on E-bay as the starting bid.

Glad you are okay. I got hit yesterday by a pizza guy running a red light but my damage is not as bad as yours but man my arms hurt from tensing up. Gonna drop by a body shop tommorow for an estimate. Good luck with yours. I think I am gonna try to get the body shop to put a hood scoop on.
