Default 4.10 gears and speedo

Guys,
Looking at 4.10 gears and I do not want to buy a programmer just to fix the speedo. Does anyone know how far off the speedo would be at 60? I have 3.55'snow.

im not to sure at how far the speedo will be off...but do you mean 4.10's???and if you dont want to buy a speed calibrator you could buy a programmer for your car...which if you mod your car much would be a neccessity

I am! I only drive 15 miles to work every day. Gas is $3.31 for 93 oct here in Florida. When it gets to $5 per gallon I'll be buying a toyota prius to drive to work.

Guys,
Bought them today from a local speed shop $250. Yes I meant FRPP 4.10's and they have the A at the end of the part number. Local shop is installing Tuesday for $350. Based on calculations from the install shop the speedo should be off by 10 MPH. I will test Tuesday with my GPS which shows actual MPH based on satellites so we will know for sure then. RPM at 70 should only increase by 300. I will do some good baseline information and post. I also have a G-tech Pro and will run 0-60 times before and after. With the driver being the same any improvement should be directly related to the gears. We will see what the numbers say as well as the butt Dyno.

I dont think any of us bought these cars for their great gas mileage. There is a price for fun. Hell, a ticket into six flags to ride roller coasters these days are running $60 a day. Family of 4, parking, food, and a souveneir will probably run you one months car payment - this way with the car you get to have your own personal roller coaster every day.

If not recalibrated, your speedometer will read 15.5% high at all speeds. When you are actually going60, youruncorrected speedometer will read 69. At actual 70, you will be reading 81.
At 70 with 3.55 gears, you are turning 2081 rpm. At 70 with 4.10 gears, you will be turning 2409 rpm.

If I don't get bogged down on a morning commute (dumb-***'s crashes into each other holding up traffic)thenI generally get at least 20 miles per gallon and that' acting a mother fuc8ing fool too! I drive town and interstate for a hour in the morning hours going to work.
