Well i finally got to test out my offroad H today and it sounded great. Only problem was there was white smoke coming out from under the hood and the exhaust pipes. I'm in the process of going over my tightening making sure there are no exhaust leaks. Other than that is there anything else i should be looking for? And btw if you read my other post about the TPS error i guess it corrected itself b/c when i went to turn the car on it wasn't on there anymore. Thanks

 

Could be burning off chemicals/oils on the inside of the pipes???

 

Yeah i think thats what it was, i just started it up again and now i don't see anything really. Except those wonderful fumes that weren't there before coming out the tailpipes

 

Perfectly normal.

 

Normal....mine did it for 2 days.

 

Normal for it to come from under hood also?

 

I think the under the hood smoke was from the penetrant i sprayed on the bolts to loosen them up. I went out for a ride earlier and no smoke at all so i'm guessing thats what it was.

 

It's left over oil in the h-pipe thatthey use to do the mandrel bends, I read the directions and it said it would smoke upon first start up, but it was alot, and like you it scared me thinking what the helldid I do? But its normal[8D]Goes away after a few starts and a long drive

 

Yep, that's right, it's an oil that is on the pipe to protect from rust or corrosion. Mine did it too.
