You can go the cheap rout and get the saleen adapter....you just install that to the stock shifter and it convert your stock to a STS.
How does that work? And, is it any good?

Its one of Tacobills writeups.....take a look through those because they answer many common questions on the board.

So it says the Saleen shortens by 25%. I know the Hurst does 40%. How much does the MGW shorten?

i'm looking at the saleen sts. they claim 26% reduction in shift distance. not bad for 45 bucks on ebay.

MGWcan be adjusted. It was anywhere from 50% to 20 or something like that. Depends on the number of turns you set it at, up to 12 turns max. Mine is 10 turns out. around 40-45% shorter and I love it.

tho its not adjustable, i dont see why it makes sense to spend more than what the saleen costs.

1+ mgw ALL THE WAY!!!!!!

Which is best is strictly a matter of opinion. That being said, I love the new MGW shifter. Yes, you can maintain the factory boot and **** if so desired. I swapped out the shift **** over a year ago, but this pic is with the short throw installed.....
