Default Short Throw Shifter

So I've convinced myself that a short throw shifter would be good, but I like the way my stock shifter looks and feels (to hold). No offense to anyone with the Hurst, but I just dont like the look and feel of that huge white ball sitting atop a chromed stick.

I assume there must be some short throws out there that i can use my stock **** and "leather boot" with, but what are they, and which is the best?

Which is best is strictly a matter of opinion. That being said, I love the new MGW shifter. Yes, you can maintain the factory boot and **** if so desired. I swapped out the shift **** over a year ago, but this pic is with the short throw installed.....

Mike,

Looking through your album, I noticed you have aluminum pedals. Are they the OEM? If so, where did you get them and how much did they cost?
TIA

(It's my thread, I'll hijack it if I want to)

My pleasure. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine. It just keeps getting better with time.....I still cannot believe the difference, especially from 2nd to 3rd. Effortless, no brainer now. Have to try hard not to chirp 2nd every shift as well....

LOL. A self hijack. I love it.

They are OEM, direct from the manufacturer. However, I got them on E Bay. Aircare turned me on to the vendor some time back. Believe it or not, got em for 36 bucks.....If you would like, I will check and see if the vendor is running any for sale now.....

No offense taken! I hope you find a shifter that meets your needs.

You can go the cheap rout and get the saleen adapter....you just install that to the stock shifter and it convert your stock to a STS.
