Well i got the trunk lid done, it took about 4 hours. Cleaned up the surface first and did it in the shade on a mid 70 degree day. Heated it up with a hair-dryer. Came out not too bad. Did notice a slight improvement in less rattling of the spoiler. I still have to do the bumper, then it shall be grand. Will post pics upon request.

dynamat eliminate road noise in a mustang... not working so well. maybe in a cadillac something with a thicker door panel already i dont know it doesnt seem to deaden the road noise from the loud pirellis, but it does stop the rattles

Dynamat the doors, pillars, trunk, kick panels and anything else that doesn't move. You will experience a noticable difference in road noise and better sounding music system. I did not do the floor because my '06 already had a sound deadning mat there. The car will feel more solid. Don't forget to do the back of the little plastic covers behind that door handles that hide the screws. Made a difference. Good luck!

For those of you thinking of placing a sound deadening product in your car, this link is a worth-while read:

http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/

Before reading this, I thought that Dynamat was the only product out there. Of course, I was wrong...

I dynomatted my T/A and it helped a lot. It cuts down on road noise some and deff makes the speakers sound better. I have a bunch left over from that car so I will be using it on the GT - should do well in the trunk with the shaker 1000 subs in there and the mufflers under it.

I used dynomat extreme for the entire interior, (my car had mildew from new and we fixed a faulty seal behind the front right fender) and the entire trunk including the spare tire well. The car is much quieter, (NO DRONEEEEEEE!) and cooler on hot days. I did not do the doors but want to soon. Itsw expensive but I feel it made the car feel much more solid and less like a cheap economy car, which I think is how Ford views the base model. I wish my car came with many of the amenities that Ford puts in cars like the now defunct 500 like interior trunk release, memory seats, adjustable pedals, homelink, etc.
