What type of CAI?

RE: What type of CAI?
Save your cash and just get the tuner. If the Shelby GT 500 can produce 500 hp with what amounts to the same stock CAI that the Mustang GT has, I think a tune is all you need. Yeah the CAI looks nice, but I truly believe they really do little.

C&L or JLT II CAI
SCT XCAL II or Diablosport Tuners
I would go with JLT II becasue of cost. it's less exspensive than C&L but the C&L Looks better they both can make as much as 30hp w/tune
Then you need a tune you could get a Brenspeed, Evolution or B amaC hips
or better yet find a local tuner that it good and get a Dyno Tune.
and Since you are from Tuscaloosa, AL you should go see B ama Chips for a Dyno Tune there in Jasper, Alabama
about an hour from you straight north on 69

WOW!!! that was an incredible responce. thank yall sooooo much.
Yes I am currently in college in tuscaloosa. would anyone like to guess my favorite school sport?! lol
So it looks like most people are saying a C&L with a dyno tune. Ill look up Bama Chips, and give them a ring. But How much am I looking at?
Another question. Is this a good way to start off the performance mods? after this I was thinkng exhaust, then springs and shocks...
Again, thank yall so much for the incredible responses

RE: What type of CAI?
Had a C&L racer w/ Diablosport tuner. Ran the 93 octane tune from C&L but it did run a little rich. Intake noise was louder and it certainly did make a noticeable improvement in power. I was very happy with it but I just ditched it in favor of the supercharger.
The Steeda cold air kit included with the supercharger is very nice. I like the fit and finish much more than the C&L racer, but the Steeda doesn't include and intake tube, so it depends on if you want to ditch the factory intake tube as well.
