Default Custom Exhaust Opinions?!?

OK, yeah, I know there's dozens of posts like this already out on the forums, but I wanted a fresh start!

I ordered a 2007 GT, Convertible, California Special that should be (finally!) arriving in about two weeks (I'm about to jump out of my skin I'm so anxious). Anyway, I'm looking at the possibilty of a custom exhaust system, and would like some feedback from those more knowledagble than me.

I want it to have some volume, but sheer loudness isn't my main concern - I'd rather it sound good, than loud! Looking for something kinda "throaty"; probably more along the lines of a cat-back than an axle back (unless someone has some convincing reasons for the axle back).

So far, I've looked at:
[ul][*]Borla T-304 Stainless Steel Cat-Backā„¢ System (http://www.borla.com/applications/lo...System/140209/)[*]MagnaFlow3" MAGNAPACK Dual Exhaust System (http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...an&id=1191)[/ul]Any suggestions? Opinions?

Thanks!!

A cat-back is going to give you some more performance gains i believe but is going to take more out of your wallet.

Catback isn't going to do a whole lot as the stock pipes are pretty good to begin with. I'd just spend the money on axle backs to make it sound like you like.

Having said that, I'm going to throw in my hat for the Corsa's. They're just a bit lower and louder at idle and cruising under 2k rpm's which is great for trips and commutes and talking, etc. Once you get on it above 2k, they really start to open up and roar, you won't be disappointed. I was affraid they were going to be too quiet for my tastes but I had my buddy drive it at different speeds and rpms for me while I stood on the side of the road and ... wow, that's all I can say.

Borla's sound awesome but the drone at 2k sucks and they might be a little too loud for me.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the Corsa's have ZERO drone. If that's a factor in your decision, almost every other axle back has drone problems.

If you want throaty, drop in Long Tubes, an X pipe and axlebacks. It'll take about 1800.00 but it is worth it.
