Default Hi-Flow MAF

By any chance have any of you installed one of these, and if so is there a real power gain?

You don't need one. Most aftermarket intakes have a cutout in the intake tube itself that you slide the MAF sensor into. In this case the intaketube itself doubles as the MAF housing. A tune is required to compensate for the additional airflow, but it works great.

You can get most intakes with a handheld tuner as a package deal. This is a great cash-per-power mod.

Just noticed you have a Shelby GT...I thought they came stockwith an aftermarket intake/tune...

The Shelby does have the Ford CAI intake/tune, however I did not know if the High Flow MAF I asked about is something that would increase HP or not. I assume that it is different somehow from the stock unit.

Nah..no gains for you from that. The Shelby intake is the original Steeda intake (before they made the elbow), which already has a 90mm (might be an 85mm...tired and the brain is foggy right now) MAF housing. If your interested in some cheap Horsepower, add the Steeda High Velocity Elbow. Think it's like $100 or so, and adds about8 to 10 horse, with no updated tune needed.
