You need better quality lug nuts, seems like the lug nuts you're using/buying are of inferior quality, they shouldn't be rusting. Bite the bullet and buy the factory Ford lug nuts. BTW where do you live? Salty roads will eat through anything.

well because of the winter in nj but the rims are off before then lol thats what i have the bullets for, only paid $300 for them lol but yea i dont think the factory ford lug nuts fit my 20 inch rims, i have them so that they are all locking lug nuts, i wish someone would recommend a good company that had locking chrome lug nuts, i just dunno any good ones

I dont have as harsh conditions as you probably have up there, but I have soaked mine in naval jelly to remove the rust and then applied a coat of wax on them and they last a long time before i have to do it again

evidently the locking lugs don't provide all that much security, its just a momentary slow down.... i do like the looks of these:

I know the two biggest enemies of chrome are acid rain and road salt! I imagine it is easy for that to get in the nooks and crannies of the lugs and around the lugs causing rust. Been a year so far and no rust or pitting on my rims and lugs! But I use the car for show it has never seen water of any type and not driven in the winter or seen rain.

naval jelley is available at most parts houses or even walmart. It is a jelley like substance that eats rust and is very inexspensive. just brush it on the lugnuts and let it set a few minutes and then rinse them off the rust will be gone then coat them with car wax and they will look like new again
