with a black one I carry the goods in the trunk and if I need to spot clean I will assuming how much dirt and grim I have on it. Mine gets a bath every sat or sun morning depending on the forcast for the next few days. I actually tried to trick it into raining(drought here) by washing on a cloudy day......it cleared up!!!.

Bird pooh makes me the most mad because it will do damage if left to bake!!!

Irony of this though I rushed my wife leaving to go out of town the other day.....we drove about 2.5 hours and on the way ran into a small rain storm. Nothing on the roads just started raining......I was getting so OCD pissed I couldn't stand it....on top of that she needed to pee(I know god didn't like me that day). Well I somehow lucked up and managed to get through this with nothing more than sprinkles...stopped to pee just outside the storm.....thought I had beat it.....yeah whatever turns out the signs to get on the interstate again were confusing and I'll be dammed I drove right back into it.........grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Oh well its an excuse to spend time with it when I get home to get the bugs off. Grit does come off easier on a car thats waxed has less to adhere too.

The car washing thing isn't crazy, but selling the AK is. I'd hold onto it since you never know when the right to buy one will be taken away by lawmakers who would prefer the only people with guns are criminals. I own a few myself...

Because it's really a 60's Fairlane with a generic sheet metal body stickered to look like a Fusion.

Seriously though....I've been guilty of all the cleaning craziness. When I got my first car years ago my mom always told me I was going to wash the paint off of it. Ialways like to have a clean car!

I had a good idea yesterday to solve the illegal immigration problem. Invade Mexico! Let's face it, no Mexicans are going to blow themselves up because we're there and it would be a whole lot easier to secure the southern border of Mexico than the northern one.

What'd ya'll think?

OK, so it rained last night and I was driving around in it, and the Steel Blue Stallion gets all dirty.
Well this afternoon I had to go somewhere after work and didn’t want the ole’ steed to be looking all dirty.
So I went home at lunchtime, washed my car, took a shower and went back to work. LOL
Is that nuts, or is that the norm around here?
I think I might be loosing it!! [8D]

I am going to sell my AK47 and all the accessories and ammo so I can buy mufflers and a chin. [>:]
Must have mods, ok I am better now.

So what is it, the norm or and I just plain crazy?
It is the norm, and you are just plain crazy like the rest of us. I detailed my car on Saturday - hand wash, hand wax and hand buffed. I treated all the trim with Back to Black, and dusted and vacuumed the interior. I had already checked the weather forecast before I did all that, so I knew it was supposed to rain last weekend and all this week. And it has.

Hey has anyone else noticed that if your car has a nice fresh wax job, the road grime doesn't seem to stick to it as badly?

I have noticed that, and it makes sense, but more importantly, have you noticed how much better and quieter it runs after a wax job?
Probably worth atleast 1/10th in the 1/4.

Once a week?
I have had this car since Thursday night and I have washed it ever single day since I have had it LOL.
Today I had to sit home for 5 hours waiting on Verizon to come fix my internet connection, so what else was there to do?
You guessed it, wash my car LOL, she got her first coat of wax today, and the damn thing looked so good I had to take her on a 2 hour ride in the country.[sm=icon_rock.gif]
Now I have to wash it again tomorrow to get the damn bugs off of it, it is a never ending battle. [:'(]
Oh well I am sure my craziness will wear off to an every other day washing.

Hello! Do you follow statistics? The only nationality that's having ababy boomin the U.S. are Hispanics, in 10-20 years L.A. will be 65-75% Hispanic, and the rest of the country will follow suit.
We don't need to invade Mexico, it(as well as nearly the rest of Latin America) is already here.
Are the Cubans driving you nuts down in Florida?, I notice a LOT of disrespect on this Forum to many nationalities that aren't European based........................
Back to the topic, I usually try not to wash my car too much(I prefer dusting and detail spraying), as all that washing will prematurely remove all that nice, costly wax. I usually only wash when there's avisible amount of mud, bird poop or road grime.
