Will new headers throw an error code?

RE: Will new headers throw an error code?
The legality of modified exhaust depends on the state laws of your home state. Federal law says you can't remove the CATs. In Oregon a modified exhaust system is legal if there are CATs and if it is similar in kind to the stock setup. That being said, you take a chance with headers. As long as you aren't throwing codes, and they don't actuallysticka sensorin your exhaust pipe, you should be fine. I have high flow CATs and they threw a couple of check engine codes for a couple of days shortly after the install, but they went away on their own and I haven't seen any for several months now.

I am currently trying to work out the mil eliminators.. Long tube headers use the rear stock o2 sensor.. they do not run error codes... I tried them on the front o2 sensors and they run error after error the mil will not work for the front o2 sensors.
