Default Quick Question

I had to take my car into the dealer for some warranty work.

Before I took it in, I wrote down the strategy and then flashed it back to stock. But the service guy said they flashed the PCM. Even though the strategy reads the same.

Is it safe to tune it back?????

I think so.....not all codes update to a different one. You will just have a new original tune is all.

I have heard that flashing other areas other than tune will not affect the code?? Don't really know if that is always true?

Its a 25 minutes process....and most dealers dont give a crap anyway. Hell I just took my tune out for the 2 mile trip to the dealer if needed.

I put mine back to stock on the street outside the dealership and throw my tuner in my briefcase then all is good.

I've yet to have a problem in the 4 times mine's been in. I just reflash it before I go and after I leave.
