Default leather seats

should i buy a leather look alike seat cover to cover my real leather to keep it from cracking in the future. or how should i prevent the cracking before it starts. becuase i was in a older mercedes earlier with leather seats, and the seats are almost cracked tothe point of having holes.

Why don't you just wait and see if it cracks. If it does, then replace the leather. If it doesn't, you're not out anything.

New's flash.....most of your 'leather' seat is vinyl. The reason for this is to prevent cracking and color fade as most owners don't properly care for real leather (hense the cracked leather horror stories we all have).

Reminds me of my grandfather, who back in the 60's would put clear vinyl covers over his seats in every new car he bought to keep them clean and new looking. Yeah... they stayed clean and new for the next owner while he sat on uncomfortable, sticky vinyl.
Use and enjoy your leather seats, don't hide them under a cheesy cover. If they really get bad looking, replace them.
