at around what mph can u downshift in 1st ? and what are the ranges for each gear as far as downshifting?

 

I almost never downshift into 1 unless I'm coming to a complete stop. The most I've ever really done it is from about a 5mph slow roll around a corner (almost stop) because I want to blast down the next road in first :-D

 

The owner's manual says 15mph is the max limit for downshifting into first. I'm not sure what the limits are for the other gears, I'm still a bit new to driving this car (first car with a stick), but I would guess that the limit for 2nd is 40 or 50mph and 3rd is somewhere over 80.

 

yeah i am new to the car as well, not the first stick though, i just wanna get everythign this car has out of it. just messing around with it when i do downshift its usually only one gear down i am a lil afriad to go down two gears. cause i dont wanna ds and hit the rev limiter.
