Gears and a trutrac. I got my trutrac in yesterday and I wish I would have done it along with my gear install. Could have saved 280 bucks. The traction is amazing.

The difference is night and day. Before with the stock T-lok any launch over 1500 rpm would just roast the tires. If anything I was peg legging but I couldn't be sure.Nowwith the trutrac I can launch at 2500-3000 with the stock tiresand still hook like no ones business. Not to mention no more moan on tight turns, plus the gear whine I have has been substantially reduced. Mainly cause the installer had another chance to setup the gears.I may keep the stock T-lok and have it rebuilt and save it as a backup, but it still won't be as strong as the trutrac.Definitelya good mod.

this is more proof of my theory that ford has a machining error in the factory 31 spline posi units. just about everyone i know that has replaced theirs also eliminated or reduced the gear whine.
if you're planning on FI then you may want to hold off on the gears until you get the s/c or turbo installed. if you're not going that direction then go with 3.73 or 4.10 unless you race a lot then 4.30's.
the driveshaft is definitely a must have[sm=signs007.gif] but only if it's a spydershaft [8D]

I know im not going to be going to the track every weekend just a few times to have fun and see where im at and i already have headers , i can feel the difference and hear it but its not a ton , im sure it added a great deal of HP but when i pay money for something i want to either hear it or feel like it made a difference and the gears will def give a good seat to pants , I heard someone explain it as making their car artifically fast and it does give you better times but also makes you feel a lot faster and that what im lokoing for

Depends on what you want. Gears for sure IMHO. The Ds is great also but if your looking for a little more HP and better sound then it would be the LT's. I wanted to add HP and improve the sound so I went with the LT's and the gears (while not adding HP) made the car faster. Just depends on what you want.

Some mustangs have picked up 10-15hp at the wheels with the single piece aluminum driveshaft.
