RE: Why the hate towards my 06 gt
I used to own a '66 stang...It was a POS all around, windows fog in rain 1/4 mile stopping distance. Gas into turns because of powah steerrng. That guy's a moron that said the 66 is better/faster.

RE: Why the hate towards my 06 gt
a guy I work with was talking about the 'good old days' and the cool musclecars...now granted I'm kinda a old car fan to say the lest, but I told him something along the lines of "you mean the drum braked, bias plied, manual choked, flat seat without seatbelt, 12 mpg 14 secondgood old days?" then offer him my keys to take it for a spin...afraid to- dont even want to know how far things have progressed...trying to tell him 'the good old days are NOW' and if he really enjoyed his old hotrods to try on a new one...hopefully as the new camaro and challenger come available more folks will get their fix before its too late- as I truly believe that within a few years due to mideast instability, and our government regulations that a repeat of 1971 is right around the corner...at least now we have the technology to get serious hp out of sipping 87 octane, but still, the days of the 13 second affordable factory stockcars are likely numbered...not saying we wont wind up with a 11 second electric someday

I'm with you guys. In the past I've had a 67 and 68 GTO, 65 Mustang, 67 and 72 Chevelleand a 69 Firebird. The new mustangs are alot more fun today. All around, the milage is better they are more dependable, and they handle better. Would I like to have one of those old cars back sure, but not to race, it would be the Sunday driver and an investment. Who nows maybe in another 25 years I'll be saying I used to have one of those 197 mustangs.
