Default tuning question?

afternoon fellas
question for you guys
I own a 2006 GT automatic
recently purchased these items

AEM brute force air intake
Dynatech supermaxx long tube header system (hi-flow cats)
Corsa cat back system

the guy at the performace center is against tuning the car after installation due to the tuners out now causing pinging in the motor

any advice on what I should do
thanks for any help
also any advice for what I should do next for extra RWHP

buy a tuner. that guy doesnt know what hes talking about. a correct tune should not ping at all. i have lts, intake, gears, udp, never had any trouble with pinging. check out brenspeed or b ama chips for a close to custom tune.
the guy probably doesnt know how to tune so he is against it imo. usually people experiencing pinging are people who use generic tunes for there car.

more, hp and torque, better throttle response. with your mods, it will be a DIFFERENT car with the new tune. i highly recommend a tune from brenspeed or b ama chips. unless you get a custom tune which are sometime too agressive for a daily driver. not sure in your case
