Default HEEEEEELP.

i have a 2006 gt with a K n N filter, BBK twin 62mm throttle body and recently added axle back Flowmasters.
the current problem is that she cranks up and cuts off right after she turns over. ive had this problem before when i put in a granatelli <sp throttle body, lost throttle response all together along with a bunch of crazy side effects. called around and was told that company sucks and switched to the BBK, problem went away. put the flows on last week, and lost throttle response after jumping on itto beat out traffic.. that lovely little wrench appears in your warning gage cluster or whatever.. its happened about three times since then and all ive ever had to do was turn the car off, wait a couple seconds and turn it back on. back when i had the granatelli, i was told id need to get the cars computer retuned since everything is run electronically now and that it was the only way.. thought i had gotten around it when i put in the bbk and everything went back to "normal." has anyone else had these problems? i ordered a predator tuner/diablosport.. figured ive put off the inevitable long enough.. this freakin sucks. help PLEASE.

That is fail safe mode. It shuts off 4 cylinders to protect your car. With the CAI you are running very lean and are at VERY high risk of detonation. YOU NEED A TUNE with that intake. Do not drive your car untill you get one, or put your stock intake back on.

Yeah, don't start it again.....it should all work out fine once you get the tuner

Your best bet would be calling somewhere like brenspeed, telling them what you have, and let them load a tune into a tuner for you. Then all you have to do is plug it into your car and you are set, will run fine. If you already ordered just a tuner, you will not get the full benefit of the tuner trying to tune it yourself.

I think you are all wrong...he said "K n N filter" and that sure as hell aint doing that much to the car. Your car will start and run pretty good with a CAI without a tune so this just seem to be the cause. I still think the problem lies with the TB maybe. Take the TB off and try to start it. You ford dealer cant change your tune either.
