Default Shaker 1000

Was wondering if anyone else has the 1000 in there vehicle??
I have had trouble with mine since I got it.
It keeps going up and down in sound with out touching any *****.
When I turn the system off it sounds fine.
But when the shaker is on.....and you try to turn up the volume...it doesn't go up...or if you turn it down...the sound doesn't changer either.....until it gets ready tooo...like it has a mind of its own...lol.[sm=smiley29.gif]
I have had a new system put in already, but still have the same problem...the dealership ask me to try it out for a few days and see if there was a pattern...but there hasn't been.
I guess the ghost of Steve is in my car...lol.[sm=smokin.gif]
I know it is a new system, but I would like to have a system that sounds good......I did pay enough for it.[&o]

I think mine sounds great! Are you sure the sound wasnt going up and down because of the road noise. They have a setting that makes it lounder when noise around you is lunder and vise versa.

96GT,
I asked the dealership if it was suppose to do that, and they told me no,it is not that kind of system.
I am going to take it back in soon and Ford wants them to test some amps and few other things.
I hope it works. I love my music and want it to sound good.

When I test drove the new '05 GT the dealer pointed out that it did have "speed sensitive volume" so that when you go faster, the radios (both the 500 and 1000) would adjust to compensate for the added road noise. I think the brochure also says that, but will have to double check so don't quote me on that.
I am not sure why you can't manually adjust the volume though.

Well I am still having problems with the system.
But the dealer has contacted Ford.
They are now saying it could be a amp in the speaker system.
Each set of speakers have their own amps...so maybe when I bring it in on Monday they will get it this time....I really miss my music.
Can't wait to get it right.
