Default HURST STS INSTALL HELP!!

Hey guys, Ill be installing a Hurst STS in mine and my friends cars this weekend. Any help, hints, pitfalls to lookout for, whatever help there is to make an easier install will be greatly appreciated. My search function keeps screwing up asusual and besides I would like some fresh info. I saw a link once to a step by step install. That would be nice to find again. If you dont want to help or want to write some crap about its been written before or search for it, I really don want to hear it. If you got the time to type bullsh!t, then give me something I can use. The title says it all so if you dont want to hear it, you shouldn't have come in. To all the other, class acts, thanks in advance for your help.

I had another write up but couldnt find it. It is pretty easy, the only problem i had was the stock shifter moving when trying to remove the 13mm bolt. Good luck!

You'll think it's impossible to remove the stock shifter from inside the car, but it's not. Take the body mount bushing off the back of the shifter and tilt the front down as far as possible and pull the *** out first.

3 things (that are probably mentioned elsewhere)

1. If you remove the whole floor console and not just the trim you will have a bit more room and won't worry about scratching anything. (just unclick the power point(s) first).
2. To put the Hurst shifter in from the top, drop the whole thing front first till the whole shifter is wayin there (don't let go!) When half your forearm is in there, then you can position it as you pull your arm back out again.
3. That gear wrench (ratcheting box wrench) is your best friend.

Have fun.

yeah you right. Use locktite. you'll need a 10mm deep socket also if you don't already have one. With two people it's a simple job. Removing the stock shifter is a sinch, but pay attention to how you have to cant it to get it out of the console. Install the husrt the same way the stocker came out. Nothing but 4 bolts, then screwing the **** on. Use use use use locktite. the bolt on the front of my rail arm came loose and you could see the shifter move with the torque of the engine. put some locktite and bolted it back up and there have been no problems.
