I'm looking for a better solution for satellite radio in my 06 vert...

I currently have an aftermarket Sirius tuner in my console, which has both benefits and drawbacks.

I don't want an aftermarket stereo in the dash...

Does anyone know of an Sirius tuner that has an auto-off timer like some XM models?

I would also be interested in hearing whether you are using the FM modulator or some other method to integrate with a Shaker 500/1000.

I am using a windshield mount for my radio with a hardwired power adapter from bestbuy that is pulled from a switched power source on the smart relay center. That powers it only while the key/accessory delay is on. I have the PIE frd-aux04 adapter feeding theHU through the smart bus system using the AUX button. I also split the input on the adapter so I can switch between my sat radio and my ipod.

I have the same setup as Archion, but I mounted my Sirius in between the 2 vents in the middle of the dash.

I have a 06 with a s1000, got a factory sirius that plugs in back of the radio. Found it on the net at Radiosandmore.

same place. I have a Sirius sportster.
I just used 3M double sided tape and hid wires in dashboard separations.
