The car will run a little rich from the factory. When I was stock my car never smelled the best when I first started it up in the morning. With the stock tune it shouldn't really matter if you run 87, 89, 90, or 94, they should all give you the same power since the car is tuned for 87.

Well I had the new car smell but never smelled gas. I don't think it's normal to smell gas like that at anytime. Might have it checked out just to be safe.

Get it checked and dont run 94 in the car unless you have a tune for 94 octane. It is a waste of money.... The vapor and gas that was left in the car on start up and WOT will give the smell of gas that may or may not have been burnt in the cylinders. If the car has not thrown any codes and she feels strong I would not worry.....but dont run 94 octane in the car unless tuned for it....JMO J
