some questions about my stang'
got a new mustang last night!
i have a couple of questions..please keep in mind iam new to all this
the car is a 2007 v6 coupe automatic(yah i know...i know...but my brothers dont drive manual and i need allot more practice at it...)
if iam in park is it safe to "rev" the engine
what are the effects?
i have "chrome" spinners with ford insignias on em'..
is there any way i can get stickers or new insiginas to put on them instead of replacing the spinners which is like over 50$ each
also i would appreaciate if someone would point out a guide to maintence
i love my car and i hope to keep it safe
anyone here have lojack or something like it?
any recommendations for me?
thank you in advance!

RE: some questions about my stang'
Don't rev it when the engine is cold (start up)
Not sure what you want to do with the spinners, but a local graphics shop can do anything you want, as far as stickers.
Change your oil at 1000 mi, and then every 3-5K. Follow your OM for mtc.

RE: some questions about my stang'
Revving it in park is not a problem. I believe that you should probavly not rev it too high for long periods of time though. Definitely wouldnt redline it in my driveway. It's not an Indy car. Most Ford dealersare good places to go for replacement parts that you can see with your own 2 eyes. The owners manual should be read completely just for preventive maintainence. They also have comprehensive maintainence manuals if you really want them. It's been a while, but when my pops bought his Explorer, they tried to charge himover $100 bucks for a set but he beat them up until they through them in. Their nice to have if you are going to do ALL the maintainence work yourself (like my dad). He's a regular gearhead. I'm just a I.T. guy who's picked up a few things by watching him. Enoy your new Mustang!
