Crankshaft
How durable is the stock crank? This post explains what happened https://mustangforums.com/m_3507349/...tm.htm#3507349
The bolt can't be removed without damaging the threads in the crankand there is also an ez out broke off in the bolt soa new crank has to be installed. So while the motor is out i'm having manley forged rods and pistons installed and having the block machined, blueprinted and balanced and keeping the procharger but raising the boost to around 14-15 psi. But if the stock crank can handle the power should there be a reason to go witha differentcrank.

^^^ steeda says 420hp on factory cast rotating assy, some on this forum say a little more than that, and some say [sm=bs.gif]"I have a million rhwp and have been running the factory internals for 3 years 500 track runs etc etc etc"
....so I say, 420hp...

Yeh i wouldnt go anything over 8 lbs of boost with stock internals. If you are replacing everything else you should replace the entire bottom end to make it worth it (which will just be the crank in your case). Once you do that 14-15 lbs shouldnt be a problem.
A machine shop should be able to remove the bolt. I broke a crank bolt on a 351C that I built 20 years ago. I also broke an ez out off trying to remove the bolt. I pulled the crank and brought it to a machine shop and they drilled it out. retapped to the next bigger bolt and I was all set.
