question for stangs with hood pins
I really really love the look of pins... i want them, however, my hood is already a painin the neck to close... i have to drop it from about 2 feet and push ever so lightly so as not to dent it and even that method takes a few attempts... are the pins going to slide right in the holesor hit the hood and dent something? i guess the lining up and drilling is on me, but does the hood flex enough to get the holes out of alignment? Has anyone run into this problem?

RE: question for stangs with hood pins
Do like I did on Saturday...GO FAKE...no worries about rust, alignment, fit and finish...and if you change your mind, you just take them off.
My car is 2 months old and I wans't sold on the idea of drilling my hood....I like them and I've had a number of very positive comments.
I like my hood pins like my women---flashy and fake and good looking on the hood

They are all like that. Hard to close.
Hood flexing enough to mis-align the
pins and cause damage? I dont think
this is possable unless your hinge bolts
are loose or missing.

RE: question for stangs with hood pins
I close my hood gently. Its clicks on the secondary latch and then I just push in the middle for the main latch to close. I've never had to draop mine. Before or after the hood swap.

I would just go for the fake ones.. since you don't have a fiberglass hood.. or reach speeds exceeding the limits of your car.. even real ones are "fake" since they are not needed.. and are just for looks.
